Fluid-resistant 3-layer SMS — the upgrade from tissue gowns
A patient exam gown built from the same fabric class as surgical apparel. Three-layer SMS polypropylene (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) at 35 GSM resists fluid strike-through, sheds no lint, stays opaque even when wet, and doesn't tear at the ties — the four failure points of the tissue/poly gowns most practices buy by default. Universal size with a reversible front/back opening, ultrasonically welded ties, bulk-packed 50 per case.
- Fluid-resistant: SMS fabric at ~36 GSM tests near 79 cm H₂O hydrostatic head (AATCC 127) — tissue-based gowns typically measure 10–20 cm
- Virtually lint-free — no cellulose fiber shed around wounds, lasers, or sterile fields
- Tear-resistant where gowns actually fail: ties are ultrasonically welded to the body, not glued
- Opaque coverage that holds up when wet — no semi-transparent tissue look
- Breathable 3-layer polypropylene without a poly-film layer blocking airflow
